Bushveld Complex

PLATMIN’S ASSETS

Located on the far reaches of the western limb of the Bushveld Complex, the group’s first mine, the Pilanesberg Platinum Mine (PPM), is currently in development. Production which began here in 2009 is being built up with annual full production of 250,000 PGM ounces scheduled for 2012. The mine’s world-class infrastructure, including concentrators to treat ore from both the UG2 and Merensky reefs as well as a Dense Media Separation (DMS) plant, will enable Platmin to take advantage of growth and consolidation opportunities in the vicinity of PPM.

Platmin also has interests, both direct and indirect, in several other PGM projects, including the Magazynskraal project, located in close proximity to PPM on the western limb and the Mphahlele project on the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex.
