Based at the Pilanesberg Platinum Mine and reporting to the Mineral Resource Manager, the position calls for a qualified Geologist who is an independent individual with strong leadership, contracts management, decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.
As the Evaluation Geologist, you will form part of an experienced team and will be responsible for regularly updating the resource model.
To be successful, you will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in SURPAC, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ exposure to data management and resource modelling (3D structural modelling and resource estimation). Platinum and open pit experience would be advantageous. Possession of a BSc Honours in Geology or similar is also important.
