Evaluation Geologist

Based at the Pilanesberg Platinum Mine and reporting to the Mine Geologist, the position calls for competent individuals to collect data and to assist with the exploitation of the ore body. A weekend roster will be applicable to accommodate the 24-hour, continuous opencast mining operation.

Key performance areas will include:

• Grade control activities within the opencast mining operation
• Grade control by managing the RC drilling rig
• Collecting and recording geological and sampling data accurately
• Compliance with Health, Safety and Environment requirements.

To be successful in this role, a National Diploma or BSc degree (B-Tech and Hons preferred) and a minimum of 2 years’ Bushveld experience are required.
